I went back to girls who rejected me in secondary school after fame – Don Jazzy

Music Producer Don Jazzy Reflects on School Rejections and Personal Growth
Ace producer and music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, known in the industry as Don Jazzy, shared insights into his experiences with rejection during his secondary school years and its lasting impact on his self-esteem.
In a recent episode of the podcast Keeping It Real With Jima, Don Jazzy spoke candidly about his struggles with self-image during his adolescence. He recalled not feeling conventionally attractive and facing constant rejections from female peers he sought to connect with romantically.
“This experience affected me psychologically, even into adulthood,” he said. “After achieving success, I sought out some of the girls who had rejected me in school to help me address that past trauma.”
However, upon reconnecting, he found that many of them were already married.
“Thank God for music; it played a significant role in my transformation,” he added. “Meeting my old schoolmates and reflecting on my success helped me heal from those past rejections.”
Don Jazzy’s journey underscores the complexities of personal growth and the influence of early experiences on one’s self-perception.
