The Opta supercomputer has released its projections for the upcoming LaLiga season, predicting the title winners, the top five positions, and teams likely to face relegation.
The 2026/27 LaLiga season is set to begin on August 15, 2026, with an opening match featuring Deportivo Alaves against Getafe CF, scheduled for 7:30 PM local time.
According to the predictions, FC Barcelona holds a 45.6% likelihood of clinching the LaLiga title again, following their success last season. Real Madrid, managed by José Mourinho, is given a 31.0% chance of winning. Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, and Real Betis round out the top five contenders with probabilities of 8.6%, 3.3%, and 2.1%, respectively.
In contrast, the supercomputer forecasts that Getafe, Alaves, and Osasuna are at risk of relegation this season.
