Kwara United Aims for Improved Performance in Upcoming Season
Kwara United’s technical adviser, Ashifat Suleiman, has expressed confidence that the team will enhance its performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) during the upcoming season. Last year, the Harmony Boys managed to retain their position in the top tier of Nigerian football, despite facing significant challenges.
In a recent media briefing, Suleiman outlined plans for revamping the squad through targeted recruitment. “Last season was tough, and there were moments when it seemed like we might face relegation, but the team regrouped and ultimately secured our status,” he said.
Suleiman emphasized the learning opportunities gained from last season, stating, “Our goal is to focus on the positives from our past performances. We intend to strengthen the team and address any shortcomings to build a more competitive side this season.”
As part of their preparations, Kwara United has officially begun pre-season training for the 2026-27 season, which commenced on Monday. The team aims to make substantial progress as they look forward to the forthcoming campaign.
