Ogogo’s in-law, Yusuf Lawal debunks reports of Kira giving birth after father’s death

Yusuf Lawal, a Nigerian professional footballer and son-in-law of the late actor Ogogo, has dismissed reports that his wife has recently given birth.

Speculation emerged claiming that Lawal’s wife, Kira Taiwo, welcomed a baby boy just two days after Ogogo’s death.

On Wednesday night, Lawal addressed these rumors in a statement posted to his Instagram story, stating, “This is not true.”

He urged the public to refrain from disseminating unverified information about his family, noting, “We’ve been receiving calls and messages from family and friends asking about it, so we felt the need to clarify publicly.”

Lawal requested privacy during this time of mourning, asking, “At a time when our family is mourning the loss of our father, we kindly ask everyone to stop spreading unverified information about our family.”

Ogogo passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, and was laid to rest the following day, according to reports from DAILY POST.
