Prophet Rolex apologises to alleged TMT visa scam victims

Prophet Rolex, a content creator and comedian, has addressed the controversy surrounding his promotion of visa services offered by TMT Travels and Tours, whose CEO, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, faces allegations of defrauding visa applicants.
In a statement, Prophet Rolex expressed his regret and appealed to those impacted by the alleged scam, stating he was unaware of the situation’s potential for wrongdoing. “Please, to all the victims of the TMT visa scam, forgive me. I had no idea the whole issue would turn out this way. However, since the matter is currently with security operatives, I’m sure you will get your money back. My ambassadorial contract with him was from 2022 to 2024,” he said.
He further clarified that his association with TMT Travels and Tours was solely based on an ambassadorial agreement and that he had no role in the company’s operational decisions. After learning about the allegations, he distanced himself from the firm.
Prophet Rolex’s comments come as security agencies investigate multiple complaints from individuals who reportedly paid for visa processing services through TMT Travels and Tours.
The comedian had previously been a brand ambassador for the travel agency, with reports indicating that his endorsement deal was renewed in 2023 following an earlier partnership with the company.
