Transfer: Former Falconets winger joins Benfica on three-year deal 

Flourish Chioma Sabastine Joins Benfica Women’s Team

LISBON, Portugal — Flourish Chioma Sabastine, a former winger for Nigeria’s Falconets, has signed with Portuguese women’s football champions Benfica.

The 21-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract with the club, which retains the option to extend the agreement for an additional season. Sabastine moves to Benfica after concluding her tenure at Turkish champions Fenerbahçe, where her contract expired at the end of last season.

In addition to her stint with Fenerbahçe, Sabastine has played for French club Stade Reims and Turkey’s Galatasaray. Before her moves abroad, she won three Nigeria Women Football League titles with Bayelsa Queens.

Sabastine has represented Nigeria in both the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups, showcasing her talent on the international stage.
