Stade Reims Signs Nigerian Defender Godwin Itotomi on Loan
Stade Reims, a club competing in France’s Ligue 2, has officially announced the signing of 18-year-old defender Godwin Itotomi. The Nigerian youth player joins Reims on loan from Grassrunners FC, a Nigerian academy, with an option for the club to make the transfer permanent.
Itotomi will initially integrate into the club’s youth team, where he is anticipated to make his way into the first team over time. His signing followed a successful trial period, during which he impressed officials with his performances in matches against prominent teams, including Paris Saint-Germain and Eintracht Frankfurt.
His strong showing in these matches has secured him a position on the reserve squad, where he will continue to develop his skills.
