Manchester United Finalizes £50 Million Transfer for Andrey Santos from Chelsea
Manchester United has reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of midfielder Andrey Santos, valued at £50 million. According to Sky Sports, the deal consists of a base fee of £48 million, with an additional £2 million contingent on performance-related bonuses.
As part of the agreement, Chelsea will retain a 10% sell-on clause should Santos be transferred in the future.
Santos, who joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama, has gained experience through loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg, one of Chelsea’s affiliate clubs. Last season, he made 43 appearances for Chelsea, contributing three goals and four assists.
In addition to Santos, Manchester United is set to secure the signing of goalkeeper Ederson from Atalanta in Italy’s Serie A this summer.
