Transfer: Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro make feelings clear about Chelsea’s new signing

Chelsea’s Joao Pedro and Moises Caicedo Reflect on Welbeck’s Impact Following Transfer
Chelsea FC players Joao Pedro and Moises Caicedo have expressed their admiration for teammate Danny Welbeck, who joined the club this summer after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion. The former Manchester United forward signed a two-year contract with Chelsea.
In an interview on the club’s official website, Pedro highlighted Welbeck’s supportive role during his transition to English football after moving from Watford. He described Welbeck as a significant influence in his life.
“On a personal level, Danny is very important to me,” Pedro said. “When I arrived in England, I was not fluent in English, but he consistently made an effort to support me and help my development.”
Pedro noted that this will be the third time he and Welbeck have played together and expressed confidence that Welbeck will provide guidance to the entire squad.
“Danny embodies that spirit; he is incredibly helpful and genuinely wishes the best for everyone around him and for the team,” Pedro added. “It is well-known that he is an exceptional player. I am eager to play alongside him once more, and I believe he will be a tremendous asset to our group.”
Caicedo also shared his enthusiasm for Welbeck’s arrival, recalling how he had supported him during his initial time at Brighton. “As both a player and an individual, Danny is outstanding. His presence at Chelsea is reassuring,” he said. “I am genuinely pleased to have him here, and he will undoubtedly be a great help to us. With his mindset, he possesses everything necessary and will be crucial for our success.”
Welbeck made his debut for Chelsea on August 5 during a preseason match against Juventus, playing the first half and recording one shot in a 1-0 defeat.
