Transfer: Trabzonspor close in on Arokodare deal
Tolu Arokodare Nears Loan Move to Trabzonspor
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Tolu Arokodare is reportedly nearing a loan transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor. The Black Sea Storm are in the final stages of negotiations to secure the striker, according to Turkish news source Takagazete.
Wolverhampton is insisting that Trabzonspor covers Arokodare’s full annual salary of €3.7 million as part of the agreement. The move comes as Trabzonspor seeks to bolster its attacking options following the departure of Felipe Augusto to Zenit.
Additionally, there is speculation regarding the future of Arokodare’s international teammate, Paul Onuachu, who was jointly the top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig last season. Reports have linked Onuachu with a potential transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.
Arokodare is expected to arrive in Turkey next Monday to finalize the transfer. The 25-year-old forward joined Wolverhampton from Belgian club KRC Genk last summer and has made 33 league appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist during his time with the team.
