Nigerian Army Dismantles Illegal Bunkering Site in Lagos
Troops from the 65 Battalion, led by Lieutenant Colonel S. Adeojo, have successfully dismantled a suspected illegal bunkering site in the Orile area of Lagos.
The operation was confirmed in a statement by Lt. Col. Musa Yahaya, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops conducted a raid that resulted in the arrest of six individuals suspected of involvement in oil bunkering activities.
During the operation, authorities recovered four trucks, one pumping machine, and various pipes and drums allegedly used in illegal operations.
The suspects, along with the confiscated items, were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’ Lagos State Command for further investigation and action.
In the statement, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, General Officer Commanding the 81 Division, commended the troops for their successful operation and urged them to maintain their efforts against economic sabotage and criminal activities in the division’s area of responsibility.
