2027: I planned to make Ogogo my special adviser on culture, tourism – Senator Yayi [VIDEO]
Solomon Adeola, widely known as Yayi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Ogun State in the 2027 elections, has announced plans to appoint the late veteran actor, Ogogo, as a special adviser on culture and tourism.
During a visit on Tuesday to Ogogo’s family in their Ilaro residence, Adeola, who currently serves as the senator for Ogun West, shared his intentions in a video that has gained significant attention on social media.
“I planned to make Ogogo my Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism,” Adeola stated. “Not just as an advisor but as a full cabinet member if I won the election and became the governor of Ogun State. That was my plan. I kept it to myself and was working with it, believing that God would do it.”
Ogogo, whose real name was Taiye Adebayo, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage 4 cancer. During this challenging period, Adeola was a key supporter, assisting with the actor’s medical expenses.
