2027: Presidential ambition may stain your good image – Primate Ayodele cautions Jonathan

Primate Elijah Ayodele Advises Former President Jonathan on 2027 Presidential Candidacy
The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has expressed caution to former President Goodluck Jonathan regarding his potential bid for the presidency in the upcoming 2027 elections.
This warning follows a group’s recent appeal to Jonathan, encouraging him to run for office. In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele advised that pursuing a presidential ambition may negatively impact Jonathan’s reputation.
While Ayodele acknowledged Jonathan’s ability to significantly influence the political landscape, specifically mentioning the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), he urged the former president to approach the decision with care. “Former President Goodluck Jonathan would bring value to the ballot, but his esteemed reputation could face challenges,” Ayodele stated.
He further noted that, if Jonathan chooses to run, the campaign would pose significant challenges for all contenders, including current President Bola Tinubu. “It will be tough for every candidate, including President Tinubu, but he must be very careful,” the Primate added.
Ayodele remarked on Jonathan’s current state of uncertainty, suggesting that the former president appears hesitant about his intentions. However, he urged Jonathan to find the courage to pursue his aspirations. “If this is what he truly desires, he must be brave. The journey will not be easy,” he cautioned.
The Primate also indicated that should Jonathan decide to enter the race, he could expect international support and sponsorship. Nevertheless, he reiterated that the path ahead would be fraught with difficulty.
