2028 Olympics Qualifier: Nine Super Falcons players arrive in Ikenne camp

Nine players have reported to the Super Falcons’ training camp in Ikenne as preparations intensify for their upcoming qualifying matches for the 2028 Olympic Games against Comoros.
Among the initial arrivals are Blessing Nkor from Dynamo Brest and Edo Queens players Tumininu Adeshina, Christiana Uzoma, and Valentina Uroko. Joining them are Farida Abdulwahab, Joy Igbokwe, Fatimoh Solaty, Glory Edet, and Sandra John.
More players are expected to arrive at the team’s base at AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on Monday, as interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen continues to prepare for the critical second-round encounter. Eguavoen has called up a total of 28 players for the qualifying campaign, as the Super Falcons seek to advance to the third round.
The first leg of the qualifying match is scheduled for Friday, October 9, in Comoros, while Nigeria will host the return fixture on Tuesday, October 13. Both matches will take place at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, as Comoros does not have a Confederation of African Football (CAF)-approved venue for international matches.
