2028 Olympics Qualifier: Super Falcons beat Comoros 2-0 in first leg

Nigeria’s Super Falcons earned a 2-0 victory against Comoros in the first leg of their second-round qualifying match for the 2028 Olympic Games on Friday in Ikenne.
Although the Super Falcons, who have won the African championship 10 times, dominated the first half, they faced challenges in breaking through Comoros’ defense before halftime. The breakthrough came just two minutes into the second half, when Michelle Alozie scored, marking her second goal for the national team.
Nigeria extended their lead in the 60th minute, with Uchenna Kanu successfully converting a corner kick from Jennifer Echegini.
The Super Falcons will aim to secure their qualification when they face Comoros again in the return leg at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne next Tuesday.
