Nigerian Singer Davido Confirms Joint Album with Chris Brown

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido has announced plans for a joint album with American R&B singer Chris Brown, set to be released next year.

In a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, Davido emphasized his current focus on producing music that reflects African influences while remaining open to collaborations with American artists. “The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home,” he said.

Despite this focus, he acknowledged his American roots, stating, “There’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year.”

Davido and Brown first worked together on the successful track “Blow My Mind” in 2019. Since that initial collaboration, they have teamed up on approximately five songs, leading to speculation about a joint project that Davido first hinted at earlier this year. He also mentioned that they have a significant number of unreleased songs together.
