Davido’s wife, Chioma to sue members of Sophia lovers group for cyberbullying

Chioma Adeleke Considers Legal Action Against Social Media Group
Chioma Adeleke, wife of prominent Afrobeat artist Davido, has announced potential legal action against members of a social media group known as Sophia Momodu Lovers. This development follows the circulation of private conversations from WhatsApp groups associated with the group on various social media platforms.
On Tuesday, Chioma’s manager, Ubi Franklin, shared screenshots from the chats, describing the situation as a coordinated online attack aimed at undermining Chioma and Davido’s marriage. He asserted that several groups have been formed specifically to harass Chioma, warning members that they may face legal consequences.
Franklin stated, “One after the other, you will explain to law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to all of you. Keep opening groups to bully her, and her husband, as well as I, her manager, along with the entire family, will take action.” He emphasized the legal implications of cyberbullying, highlighting that such actions are regarded as criminal offenses under Nigerian law, particularly the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act of 2015.
The situation continues to evolve as both Chioma and her representatives prepare to address the issues raised.
