Oyo State Police Arrest Multiple Suspects in Connection with Kidnapping and Armed Robbery

In a statement released by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade, the police identified the suspects as Musa Ajibola, Hassan Mohammadu, and Umaru Hassan. They were apprehended at the Latayo farm settlement in Ile-Ido.

According to the statement, the arrests followed credible intelligence from community members. Oyo State Police Commissioner Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga directed a coordinated operation based on this information. The suspects are alleged to be directly involved in the kidnapping and subsequent release of a victim.

The statement also detailed the arrest of Ibrahim Adebisi, who reportedly specializes in stealing motorcycles. After receiving reliable information, law enforcement initiated a targeted operation and apprehended Adebisi. In custody, he confessed to stealing motorcycles from Ilesa in Osun State and selling them in the Ojoo area of Ibadan.

In response to Adebisi’s disclosures, officers moved to the Ojoo area, where they arrested Hussein Haruna, 23, who is accused of receiving stolen motorcycles.

During further investigations, officers stopped and searched Imoleayo Ibrahim, who was found in possession of a locally fabricated pistol. Ibrahim was arrested after confessing the firearm was intended for use in robberies along the expressway. He also implicated two alleged accomplices, Ibrahim Najeem and Olamilekan, in coordinating and executing these criminal activities.
