Woman Critically Injured in Gadau Phone Snatching Incident
A middle-aged woman suffered critical injuries in Gadau, a community near Sa’adu Zungur University in the Itas/Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi State, following an attack by suspected phone snatchers on Thursday.
The incident took place close to the university’s main campus and has raised significant concerns among local residents. Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, believed to be four in number, confronted the woman and demanded her mobile phone. The situation escalated when she attempted to resist the assailants.

They have called for local security agencies to enhance patrols and take measures to apprehend those responsible for such crimes. Community members emphasized the need for a greater security presence in Gadau, particularly given its status as a university town that serves students and other residents.
