Troops thwart kidnap attempt, rescue two victims in Benue
Security Forces Prevent Kidnapping in Benue State
Operatives from Sector 1 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) averted a kidnapping attempt and rescued two individuals in the Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State on April 24.
According to security sources, the incident occurred around 8:19 a.m. in the Agidi community, where suspected kidnappers were reportedly operating. Troops quickly responded to a distress alert and were deployed to the scene.
Upon seeing the approaching troops, the kidnappers abandoned their victims and fled into nearby bushes. The rescued individuals were subsequently reunited with their families.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state.
