Suspected gunmen kill over 10 in fresh Katsina attack
Gunmen attacked the Gurbi community in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, resulting in the deaths of more than 10 individuals. Security analyst Bakatsine reported the incident in a post on X on Sunday.
The assault occurred in the evening when the assailants opened fire on residents, causing panic among the community. Witnesses indicated that the attackers targeted civilians attempting to flee the area, while security forces reportedly arrived after significant casualties had already occurred.
Bakatsine expressed concern regarding the repeated violence, questioning the effectiveness of protective measures in place for the community.
