Music is warfare – Bella Shmurda

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda recently asserted that music transcends entertainment, serving as a catalyst for societal advancement. In an interview featured in the “For Bunmi” documentary, the artist, known for his hit “Cash App,” characterized music as a form of warfare.
“Music is a tool for society, a means of progress, and an instrument of goodwill,” Bella Shmurda said. He emphasized its role in helping individuals manage their emotions, noting that music can encourage people to “dance away their sorrow” and experience a sense of vitality.
The singer also reflected on how fatherhood has influenced his creative process. He expressed a newfound awareness in the music he produces, stating that he aims to create work that his children can take pride in as they grow older.
