Gunmen kidnap businessman in Ibadan
Gunmen suspected of involvement in kidnapping have taken a 60-year-old man in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The victim was abducted Saturday evening while he was returning home. The kidnapping occurred on the Jinarere axis of Alakia Road.
Olayinka Ayanlade, the Public Relations Officer for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident. In a statement provided to DAILY POST on Sunday, Ayanlade noted that efforts are underway to ensure the victim’s safe return.
According to Ayanlade, preliminary investigations indicate that the victim, a building materials trader, was approached by four masked men armed with weapons. The assailants forcibly took him in an unregistered ash-colored Toyota Corolla.
