Special Constabulary Officer Abducted in Katsina State
KATSINA, Nigeria — A Special Constabulary officer has been kidnapped by suspected armed bandits in Katsina State. The officer, identified as Danjuma Garba, was taken on Sunday at approximately 7 p.m. along the Kankara–Sheme road, according to a post shared Monday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
Reports indicate that the abduction occurred in Kwakware village, allegedly orchestrated by a notorious bandit kingpin known as Idi, or Abasu Aiki.
In response to the incident, the Divisional Police Officer of Faskari promptly assembled a joint security team to search the vicinity. Authorities have launched coordinated search operations aimed at rescuing the officer and apprehending the suspects.
Security measures have been intensified in the area, and further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
