Burna Boy and Shakira to Perform Official Song for 2026 FIFA World Cup
Nigerian singer Burna Boy will join Colombian pop star Shakira to perform the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, titled “Dai Dai.”
This marks the second consecutive World Cup in which a Nigerian artist will participate in the official song. In 2022, Davido featured in “Hayya Hayya (Better Together),” the official song for the Qatar tournament.

“Dai Dai” is set to be officially released on May 14. Shakira announced the collaboration via social media, stating, “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy.”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and the tournament is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19.
