Enugu Rangers Secures Vital Win in Title Race

In a closely contested match, second-placed Rivers United kept the pressure on Rangers by defeating Wikki Tourists 3-2 in an away game. Finidi George’s side displayed resilience, coming from behind twice to secure the win.

Following Sunday’s matches, Rangers sit at the top of the table with 65 points from 37 matches, just one point ahead of Rivers United, who have 64 points, also from 37 matches.

The title race will be decided on the final day of the season, with Rangers set to travel to Lagos to face Ikorodu City. Meanwhile, Rivers United will host Katsina United in Port Harcourt.

Wikki Tourists were relegated to the Nigeria National League after their defeat to Rivers United. Bayelsa United will also return to the NNL next season following a 2-1 loss to Remo Stars in Ikenne.
