Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed her condolences following the death of fellow actor Alex Ekubo. The news comes after the actor succumbed to a prolonged battle with liver cancer.
Ekubo was hospitalized on Monday and spent several hours on life support before passing away on Tuesday afternoon.
In a heartfelt tribute shared on her Instagram account, Akindele reflected on their friendship. “I really tried to reach out to see you one more time,” she wrote. “May your kind soul rest in peace, Alex. Ore mi, as you fondly called me, I will always remember and cherish the good times we shared together. REST IN PEACE, ALEX.”
