EPL: Arteta speaks on Arsenal, Man City winning title on goal difference

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta emphasized on Thursday that his primary focus is on securing victories rather than attempting to outscore Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
Speaking to reporters, Arteta downplayed the importance of goal difference, stating that winning matches will take precedence. Following Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, their goal difference now stands at +43, one point ahead of Arsenal.
City’s remaining fixtures include matches against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, while Arsenal will face Burnley and Crystal Palace.
“Our priority is to earn the right to win each game,” Arteta said. “If we can increase our goal difference, that’s certainly an advantage, but we are aware that every match will be challenging. We had a tough encounter against West Ham recently, and winning that match brought great satisfaction. Ultimately, we recognize that scoring goals will be crucial.”
