BREAKING: US, Nigerian forces eliminate ISIS deputy leader, Abu-Bilal al-Minuki

U.S. and Nigeria Coordinate Operation Resulting in Death of ISIS Leader
President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that U.S. forces, in collaboration with the Nigerian Armed Forces, successfully conducted a military operation that led to the death of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
In a statement shared on his Truth Social account, Trump described the operation as the culmination of extensive intelligence gathering and strategic coordination aimed at tracking al-Minuki’s activities in Africa. The President characterized al-Minuki as a prominent figure for ISIS, alleging that he orchestrated attacks and supported terrorist operations targeting both Americans and local communities across the continent.
According to Trump, the elimination of al-Minuki is expected to significantly disrupt ISIS operations globally and diminish the group’s influence in Africa.
Trump commended the Nigerian government and military for their collaboration and support throughout the mission. He stated, “Tonight, at my direction, brave American forces and the Armed Forces of Nigeria flawlessly executed a meticulously planned and very complex mission.”
He added that al-Minuki underestimated U.S. intelligence capabilities, asserting, “He will no longer terrorize the people of Africa or help plan operations to target Americans. With his removal, ISIS’s global operation is greatly diminished. Thank you to the Government of Nigeria for your partnership on this operation.”
