Super Eagles drawn against Madagascar, Tanzania, Guinea- Bissau in AFCON 2027 qualifiers 


The Super Eagles of Nigeria will compete against Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by DAILY POST.

The draw for the qualifiers was held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo on Tuesday.

Nigeria’s team, managed by Éric Chelle, was designated as one of the seeded teams alongside several of Africa’s top squads.

As a result, Nigeria is expected to be favored to secure the top position in the group. The two leading teams in each group will qualify for the finals of the tournament.

Qualifying matches are scheduled to take place during three FIFA international windows, from September 2026 to March 2027. The first two match days are set for September 21 and October 6, 2026, followed by the third and fourth rounds from November 9 to November 17, 2026. The final matches for qualification will occur between March 22 and March 30, 2027.
