‘Pray for peace, prosperity’ – Hajj committee pleads with Kaduna pilgrims

Kaduna State Pilgrims Urged to Pray for Leaders
Kaduna State officials are encouraging pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj to offer prayers for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, emphasizing the importance of peace and prosperity for Nigeria and the wellbeing of its citizens.
The call was made by Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, the leader of the five-member Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee, during a visit to the pilgrims’ accommodations in Makkah on Saturday.
In a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa, Mustapha expressed that both leaders are deserving of a second term in office. He asserted that their continued leadership would enhance their ability to serve the needs of the people at both national and state levels.
Mustapha, a former Head of Service, praised Governor Sani for his wise governance, attributing significant accomplishments to his relatively young age.
The delegation leader also urged the pilgrims to adhere to both religious guidelines and Saudi Arabian laws while performing their rituals. He was accompanied by other delegation members, including Professor Bello Ayuba, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, District Head of Rigasa Arc Mohammed Aminu Idris, and Islamic clerics Dr. Imam Tukur Adam Almanar and Malam Abdullahi Rabiu Ishaq.
During the visit, Sheikh Haliru Maraya, a member of the Special Hajj Committee of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, reminded the pilgrims of key aspects of the Hajj rituals that will take place in Muna. Muna is located approximately eight kilometers from Makkah and spans an area of 20 square kilometers with 100 tents available for pilgrims.
Maraya highlighted the significance of Muna and disclosed that 85 officials, including Islamic clerics, have been appointed to assist Kaduna State pilgrims to ensure a meaningful Hajj experience.
“The Governor is committed to the welfare of Kaduna pilgrims, and he aims for them to achieve Hajj Mabroor,” Maraya stated.
He also mentioned that an Islamic cleric has been assigned to each tent housing the pilgrims, to provide guidance in prayers and worship during their stay in Muna.
“This initiative is unprecedented; Kaduna State is the only subnational entity to take such an extraordinary step to ensure its pilgrims fulfill their Hajj obligations as prescribed by Prophet Muhammad,” he added, commending the Governor for his efforts.
