U.S. Embassy and Consulate General in Nigeria to Close for Eid al-Adha
The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday in observance of the Eid al-Adha holidays.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria and posted on X on Wednesday. The mission extended its best wishes to Muslims celebrating the festival.
“From all of us at the U.S. Mission Nigeria, #EidMubarak. May your time during this holiday and throughout the year be filled with peace, happiness, and good health,” the statement read.
Additionally, the Nigerian government has declared the same dates as public holidays for the Islamic celebration.
