APC constitutes high-powered Ekiti guber campaign council, names Uba Sani Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a National Campaign Council in preparation for the upcoming Ekiti State Governorship Election, slated for June 20, 2026. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State will lead the council as its chairman. His appointment to this position was confirmed by the party on April 24, 2026.
The campaign council was officially announced at the APC National Secretariat, located in Abuja. It includes prominent party leaders, state governors, ministers, federal lawmakers, and influential political figures from across the country.
The council will be vice-chaired by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Other significant members include House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and governors such as Hope Uzodimma, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Babagana Zulum, Dapo Abiodun, Ahmed Aliyu, Mohammed Umaru Bago, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Additionally, the council features former governors Kayode Fayemi and Yahaya Bello, as well as ministers Dele Alake, Sunday Dare, and Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
To facilitate campaign efforts, the APC has also formed strategic subcommittees dedicated to Election Planning and Management, Finance and Resource Mobilization, Media and Publicity, Security, and Women and Youth Mobilization.
The formation of this council underscores the APC’s commitment to the Ekiti governorship election and signifies confidence in Governor Uba Sani’s leadership capabilities and political mobilization efforts.
