Man driving under influence of drugs kills two soldiers in Delta

Two Soldiers Die in Delta State Road Accident
Oshimili South, Delta State – Two soldiers from the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army were killed in a road accident on May 30. The incident occurred along 74 Road in Oshimili South Local Government Area.
Investigations are currently underway concerning the driver of the vehicle involved, who reportedly tested positive for illegal substances. Security analyst Zagazola Makama stated on X that military sources confirmed the accident led to an immediate response from troops.
Preliminary reports indicate that the soldiers were riding a motorcycle when they were struck by the vehicle. They were promptly transported to the 63 Brigade Medical Centre, where medical personnel confirmed their deaths upon arrival.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and is now under the custody of the 63 Provost Company. According to sources, the driver tested positive for both cannabis and cocaine during the drug screening.
The bodies of the deceased soldiers have been taken to the morgue at Asaba Specialist Hospital for further arrangements. Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident.
