Nigerians can’t afford Tinubu’s second term, four years of misery – Dino Melaye

Political Critic Questions Tinubu’s Second Term Viability
Dino Melaye, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has suggested that many Nigerians are losing interest in President Bola Tinubu’s potential second term.
Melaye expressed his views on social media platform X, stating that the public is unwilling to endure another four years under what he described as a “corrupt, reckless, and incompetent administration.” He emphasized that this decision is not merely a matter of political interest, but rather a crucial concern for the nation’s future.
“Tinubu’s second term is no longer about interest but existential. Nigerians cannot afford another four years of a miserable, corrupt, reckless, incompetent and prodigal government,” he wrote.
Additionally, Melaye criticized the president for allegedly prioritizing politics over the welfare of Nigerian citizens. He also accused Tinubu of undermining democratic processes and targeting Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
“Tinubu is playing politics with the lives of Nigerians, undermining democracy and Gov Seyi Makinde,” Melaye stated.
President Tinubu, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), was confirmed as the party’s presidential candidate after receiving approximately 11 million votes during the primary election.
