ABAKALIKI — A stray dog attracted attention at the Old Government House on Monday, causing a temporary disruption for workers and visitors alike.
The dog, described as fierce-looking, entered the Government House complex along Ogoja Road during working hours, prompting alarm among those present. Eyewitnesses reported moments of panic as staff members sought safety while others attempted to locate and contain the animal.
Sources within the Government House indicated that the dog’s owner had not been identified. The canine appeared disoriented and was seen wandering the premises in search of an exit.
By the time this report was filed, efforts were underway to safely remove the dog from the premises and restore normal activities.
