Zamfara State Governor Announces Cabinet Reshuffle

ZAMFARA, Nigeria — Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved a minor reshuffle in his cabinet affecting three commissioners, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of key ministries and improving service delivery.

The decision was conveyed by Abubakar Nakwada, Secretary to the State Government, in a statement released to the media.

In the reshuffle, Abdulrahaman Tumbido has been moved from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Kasimu Yahya Kaura will transition from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. Additionally, Tasiu Musa Shinkafi has been reassigned from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The state government indicated that these changes are intended to strengthen the implementation of government programs across the affected ministries.

The reshuffle is effective immediately, with the governor instructing the commissioners to complete all necessary handover processes within one week. Lawal also encouraged the commissioners to demonstrate renewed commitment and dedication in their new roles.
