Three die as bandits raze houses in Niger attack

Three Killed in Bandit Attack in Niger State
PISSA, Niger State — The Niger Police Command confirmed that three individuals were killed during an attack by suspected bandits in Pissa village, located in the Borgu Local Government Area.
According to a statement from police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun, the attack occurred around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The assault involved the burning of several houses in the village.
Abiodun reported that the military responded to the situation and engaged the assailants; however, details about the encounter remain limited.
“The report received indicated that suspected bandits invaded Pissa village,” Abiodun said. “Three persons were reportedly killed during the attack, and some houses were set ablaze. The military responded but further details are still sketchy.”
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the bandits or the ongoing investigation.
