Anambra Governor Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections, asserting that the time for “wasting votes” has ended.

Soludo made his announcement on Monday during a rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Ebonyi State. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among progressive leaders for the benefit of both the nation and the South-East region.

“Our focus must shift to aligning with mainstream national politics,” Soludo stated. “The Igbos should not waste their votes again.”

Previously serving as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Soludo observed that the South-East has historically acted as a dependable voting block for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He argued that this strategy needs reevaluation to increase the region’s federal influence.

Governor Soludo’s comments reflect a call for unity among political factions in the area as preparations for the next election cycle commence.
