World Cup 2026: Renard urges Tunisia to show character against Netherlands

Tunisia’s Coach Urges Team to Fight in World Cup Finale Against Netherlands
TUNISIA – Hervé Renard, head coach of the Tunisian national team, has called on his players to demonstrate resilience and aim for victory in their final group match against the Netherlands during the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The Carthage Eagles faced elimination following a 4-0 defeat to Japan on Sunday, marking a challenging tournament for the team. Prior to that, Tunisia suffered a 5-1 loss to Sweden in their opening game, making them the first African nation to exit the competition.
Despite the team’s struggles, Renard emphasized the importance of finishing the tournament on a positive note.
“You have to keep fighting in difficult moments like these. We need to show pride and character to approach the third match in the best possible way,” Renard stated after the defeat.
Tunisia will face the Netherlands in their final group match, with their focus now on displaying their best performance and concluding the World Cup campaign on a high note.
