EPL: Man City agree to pay Chelsea €20m to make Maresca new manager

Manchester City and Chelsea Reach Agreement for Enzo Maresca’s Contract Termination
Manchester City and Chelsea have finalized an agreement worth €20 million for the termination of Enzo Maresca’s contract.
Maresca is expected to travel to Manchester later today to sign a three-year deal with City. He will take over as head coach, succeeding Pep Guardiola, who stepped down from his position at the end of the last season.
Sky Sport Italia reports that City will pay Chelsea €20 million to release Maresca from his contract. Despite having been dismissed by Chelsea in January, the Italian coach remained under contract with the club.
Maresca has been the preferred choice to replace Guardiola, particularly given his role as the assistant manager during the 2022-23 season.
