Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has recommended that Atletico Madrid consider selling Julian Alvarez if the player is unhappy at the club.
In an interview with Jijantes, Aguero addressed Alvarez’s recent announcement expressing his desire to leave the La Liga club. This declaration came after Argentina’s 2-0 victory over Austria in the ongoing World Cup, where Alvarez revealed that he had communicated his intentions to Atletico Madrid.
Aguero remarked, “The club won’t comment on anything, and the player has no choice but to be honest. He mentioned he’s met with the club, and both parties agree that a transfer is the best option.”
He further added, “If I were the club and a player was unhappy in the city, or for any other reason—such as dissatisfaction with teammates or the coach—if he feels uncomfortable, the best course of action is to find a solution and sell him.”
