‘What did your principal do as governor’ – Umahi knocks Obidients

Minister of Works Challenges Obidients on Leadership Record

PLATEAU, Nigeria — Minister of Works Dave Umahi criticized supporters of the Obidient movement on Thursday, questioning their principal’s achievements during his tenure as governor of Anambra State.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony for the Babban-Lamba Sharam Road (Phase II), Umahi encouraged attendees to evaluate their leader’s record against his own.

“I have served as Party Chairman, Deputy Governor, Governor, Senator, and Minister. Let’s compare the credentials of your principal with what I accomplished as Governor of Ebonyi State,” Umahi said. “If you wish to insult me, please do so constructively.”

He added, “Those who say I’m not on the ballot should know that I am. You have no right to insult me, but if you call on the president, I will respond accordingly.”

Umahi’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions as the election season approaches.
