Nigeria’s Flamingos Arrive in Togo for U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier

Lomé, Togo — Nigeria’s Flamingos have arrived in Lomé ahead of their crucial second leg match against the Young Amazons of Benin Republic in the final round of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The team, along with its officials, landed safely at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport on Friday. They will be staying at Hôtel Le Pélican during their time in Togo.

Under the leadership of head coach Akeem Busari, the Flamingos are scheduled to hold their first training session in Lomé later this evening.

The match is set to take place on Saturday at Stade de Kegue. The Flamingos will look to maintain their 3-2 advantage from the first leg of the qualifying series.

The aggregate winner will secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Morocco this October.
