NWFL: Igbokwe voted Nasarawa United’s Player of the Season
Joy Igbokwe has been named the Player of the Season for the Nasarawa Amazons, according to a report from DAILY POST.
Igbokwe received the award after delivering a series of strong performances for the Lafia-based club throughout the season. She surpassed fellow nominees Hembafan Ayatsea, Udoka Unachukwu, and Jones Imoh in the voting, which was determined by fan participation.
In the final tally, Igbokwe secured 689 votes, while Ayatsea received 267 votes, Unachukwu garnered 249 votes, and Imoh received 60 votes.
The Nasarawa Amazons recently celebrated victory in the 2026 President Federation Cup, adding to the significance of Igbokwe’s individual accolade.
