Nigerian Musician K1 De Ultimate Responds to Allegations of Abandonment

Nigerian Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, widely known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam1, has made headlines this weekend by responding to allegations made by his former pedicurist, Ogechi. During a live performance, Ayinde characterized any unplanned pregnancies resulting from his relationships as a form of “promotion.”

The allegations stemmed from Ogechi’s claims that Ayinde abandoned her and their teenage daughter, Azizat Tiwalade Ayinde Marshall. Ogechi stated that after dating the musician for seven years, she became pregnant but alleged that he failed to provide financial support for an abortion and subsequently cut off communication with her.

In his response, Ayinde, speaking in Yoruba, expressed, “Any unnecessary pregnancy from any woman is a free gift from the relationship,” a remark he described as humorous.

This latest exchange continues to draw public attention surrounding the personal lives of prominent figures in the Nigerian music industry.
