Otunba Femi Davies, a Nigerian publisher and socialite, confirmed St. Janet’s death in a Facebook post on Sunday morning. In his announcement, he reflected on her reputation as an influential figure in the music industry, particularly for her vibrant live performances and energetic stage presence.
“St. Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and highlife musician, is dead,” Davies wrote. “She died after a brief illness on Saturday.”
