Fashion designer Veekee James has addressed criticism regarding her frequent public appearances with her husband, Femi Atere. In a video shared on social media, she responded to a commenter who questioned the couple’s closeness, implying that Atere lacked “a life of his own.”

James asserted that marriage involves sharing one’s life with a partner, emphasizing their commitment to one another. “Yes, my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life, just as I don’t have a life of my own. My life is his life. He is me, and I am him,” she stated.

James criticized those who misunderstand the nature of marriage, highlighting that true partnership means sharing all aspects of life. “His life is mine, my life is his. Everything he is, is mine,” she added.

She also made it clear that the couple plans to continue attending events together despite ongoing public scrutiny. “You will see me and my husband anywhere possible, everywhere possible,” James remarked.
