Nigerian Singer Cynthia Morgan Accuses Music Executive Jude Okoye of Manipulation

Nigerian singer and songwriter Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan, commonly known as Cynthia Morgan, has accused music executive Jude Okoye of manipulating the truth and described him as “toxic and divisive.”

Morgan made these allegations in a series of posts on her Instagram page on Monday. She claimed, “If there is one thing I know about Judeengees, I know for a fact that he can make the truth disappear either in front or behind the cameras. I am a living witness of his wickedness.”

She added that the appearance of chats and emails in their ongoing dispute means that the judiciary is now their only hope of uncovering the truth. “So help them God,” she wrote.

In another post, Morgan criticized Okoye for allegedly stating that fellow artist Peter Okoye was “crashing out” due to his declining career. “You see how he quickly said Peter is crashing out because he is going down. That is how toxic and divisive he is,” she wrote. Morgan noted that Okoye is trending with a new song, despite her lack of engagement with secular music.

These comments from Morgan come amid a public dispute between Jude Okoye and his former music partner, Peter Okoye, known as Mr. P.

Cynthia Morgan initially signed a recording contract with Northside Entertainment Inc., owned by Okoye, in August 2013. On May 23, 2020, Morgan revealed in an Instagram Live session that she had lost her stage name, her VEVO account, royalties, and her Instagram account due to the contract. She described her fallout with Okoye as a source of significant emotional distress, although she had previously not disclosed these issues to the public.
