Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, the wife of Teddy Don-Momoh and the widow of late gospel singer Kefee, has passed away just two weeks after giving birth to the couple’s first child.

Her family announced the news in a statement posted on her official Instagram page. According to the statement, Lara died peacefully following a brief illness.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh,” the family stated.

In their message, the family requested privacy as they grieve and called for prayers for Lara’s soul and for strength during this difficult time. “During this deeply painful time, we humbly ask for privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul and for all who mourn this immeasurable loss,” the statement read.

Details regarding her funeral arrangements will be shared at a later date. “Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and other family matters will be communicated in due course,” the family added.

Lara’s death occurs just weeks after she and Teddy celebrated the birth of their child, a moment that generated joy among family, friends, and well-wishers on social media. Teddy Don-Momoh was previously married to popular gospel artist Kefee, who passed away in June 2014 after battling a lung-related illness.

The Don-Momoh family expressed gratitude for the support they have received since the announcement. “We sincerely thank everyone for the love, support, prayers, and understanding extended to the family during this difficult time,” they concluded.
